The initial startup test of the steam turbine in Badaling CSP tower plant was conducted on June 10, 2012. Steam entered the steam engine at 18:24, and the engine speed of up to 1076 rpm was achieved at 18:46. All the performance indicators were good and the engine speed can be fixed accurately, which marked the success of the initial engine startup test.
The following tests were carried out during the whole process:
(1) Working state examinations of the steam-water system and the lubricating oil system;
(2) DEH system display situation, speed control function, automatic valve control in speed error situation, and manual valve control from control center;
(3) Parameter test for DCS, and engine steam-water/lubricating oil systems.
The initial engine startup is of great importance to every power plant, which marks the beginning of power generating.
