ROYALTECH's First Batch of High-Temperature Vacuum Molten Salt Heat Collection Tubes Successfully Shipped to Europe's Évora Advanced Trough Molten Salt Demonstration Project

On April 8, Changzhou ROYALTECH successfully completed the production and shipment of its newly developed high-temperature vacuum molten salt heat collection tubes for Europe's Évora Advanced Trough Molten Salt Demonstration Project. The Évora project is the most advanced demonstration project in Europe for third-generation trough solar thermal technology, characterized by large-aperture trough collectors and direct molten salt circulation.

Core Component Breakthrough: The "Hardcore Strength" of Key Equipment for Third-Generation Trough Solar Thermal Technology

ROYALTECH 's high-temperature vacuum heat transfer oil heat collection tubes have been widely exported to mainstream projects overseas. However, this marks the first time its molten salt vacuum heat collection tubes, which are the core components with the highest performance and quality requirements, have entered Europe's most advanced third-generation trough solar thermal technology demonstration project. 1. Advanced High-Temperature Absorptive and Anti-Reflective Coatings**: Operating temperatures exceed 565°C, compatible with both conventional binary molten salt and new wide-temperature-range molten salt media. These coatings feature higher transmittance, absorptance, and lower emissivity, with optimized strategies for multi-temperature-zone coating in collectors.

2. Optimized Design of Molten Salt Vacuum Heat Collection Tubes**: The tubes are made of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant materials, with an efficient expansion absorption design that increases effective utilization length. They also feature a long-lasting vacuum maintenance system (>35 years), as well as patented designs such as thermal shielding and cosine reflectors, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

3. Parallel Production Capability for Multiple Specifications**: After receiving the order, all departments collaborated closely to rapidly complete design reviews, process certifications, and type tests according to technical specifications. The production lines and equipment were adjusted for parallel flexible production alongside other products, such as the 70 mm heat transfer oil standard tubes and the 90 mm heat transfer oil tubes for the 700MW Dubai solar thermal project. This demonstrated strong production scheduling and assurance capabilities.
