Nickel-based Material Supplier for Solar Thermal Molten Salt Tower Power Plant - BAOTI Group Joins CSTA

Recently, BAOTI Group Co.,Ltd., a supplier of nickel-based GH3625 coil plates for molten salt tower solar thermal power stations that have achieved batch production application, has completed the alliance process and officially become a director unit of CSTA.

Established in 1965, BAOTI Group is the largest and most complete titanium and titanium alloy research and manufacturing enterprise in China, with three major industrial sectors: titanium, equipment design and manufacturing, and new materials. It holds controlling stakes in two listed companies, BAOTI Co.,Ltd and Baose Co.,Ltd, with the world's leading titanium production and comprehensive strength ranking in the top three of the global titanium industry. It has won the highest award in China's industrial field, the "China Industrial Grand Prize."

In the field of solar thermal energy, BAOTI Group processes high-end nickel-based alloy coils, plates, bars, wires, and tubes that can be applied to the production and manufacturing of equipment and components in solar thermal power projects involving high temperatures, high pressures, and complex conditions. The developed products have completed all test items in the laboratory of Central South University. Currently, the mass-produced nickel-based GH3625 coil plates have been applied in molten salt tower solar thermal power stations. BAOTI Group maintains technical exchanges with top professional colleges and universities in the industry, such as Northeastern University and Beijing University of Science and Technology, and insists on developing China's own high-quality nickel-based alloy materials. Its co-authored "GH3625 Nickel-Based Alloy Welded Pipe for Nitrate Molten Salt Receiver in Tower Solar Thermal Power Stations" (draft for review) has passed the review. The GH3625 nickel-based alloy welded pipes for receivers have been tested at the solar thermal tower power plant of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

In terms of production capacity, BAOTI Group is deeply involved in high-precision strip materials. Currently, the production capacity of nickel and nickel alloys reaches more than 3,000 tons per year, with production and scientific research technology at a leading domestic and world-class level. At present, BAOTI Group is actively preparing for the construction of a nickel alloy capacity expansion project, and it is expected that by the end of the " 15th Five-Year Plan," BAOTI Group 's nickel alloy production capacity will be expanded to 15,000 tons per year.
