On August 8-9, China Concentrating Solar Power Conference 2023 was held successfully in Changsha city, Hunan Province, which was organized by China Solar thermal Alliance (CSTA), Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Renewable Energy Society, Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering, and co-hosted by POWERCHINA ZHONGNAN ENGINEERING Co., LTD. and Cosin Solar Technology Co., Ltd.
At the closing ceremony, Ms. Fengli Du, Secretary General of CSTA announced that China Concentrating Solar Power Conference 2024 will be held in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province with Sun Sum Technology Co., Ltd. as the co-host.
Sun Sum is headquartered in Beijing and has set up subsidiaries in the provinces and regions of Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia. Sun Sum has a tight cooperation with many research institutes, including the chairman member of CSTA--Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Since its establishment in 2021, Sun Sum has been committed to investing in the construction of the 700MW "CSP+" national demonstration project in Guazhou county, Jiuquan city, Gansu province. The project include a 100MW CSP plant, a 200MW PV plant, one 400MW wind power generation plant and a 330KV booster station. The 100MW CSP plant will adopt the molten salt solar tower technology, with two heliostat fields and two towers.
At present, the solar tower in west is close to the top, and the east solar tower construction is catching up, the foundation construction of the mirror field is carried out simultaneously, and other construction tasks are progressing in an orderly manner.

During the China Concentrating Solar Power Conference 2024, the participants will be invited to visit the world's first "twin towers and one steam turbine" CSP project.
According to the People's Government of Guazhou County, a detailed investigation of the county's energy resources has been completed by Northwest Engineering Corporation Limited (POWERCHINA NORTHWEST) , which gives a comprehensively understanding the resource situation, and lays a solid foundation for promoting the orderly and high-quality development of Guazhou's new energy industry. According to the <General Survey and Planning Study Report on Wind and Solar Resources in Guazhou County>, Guazhou county has determined the development goals of the new energy industry during the 14th Five Year Plan period. In the future, new energy installations of 100GW can be developed, including 15GW of wind power, 83GW photovoltaic power, and 2GW of solar thermal power plant.
