The vice chairman member of China Solar Thermal Alliance (CSTA)——Shouhang Hi-Tech Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (Shouhang Hi-Tech) announced that Shouhang together with Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. (NWEPDI)of China Power Engineering Consulting Group，PowerChina Sichuan Engineering Co., Ltd. (POWERCHINA SICHUAN) and Shanghai Investigation，Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (SIDRI) have received the bidding notice on July 28, 2022 from China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) Co., Ltd. (CTGR), the consortium won the EPC contract of Qinghai Geermu 100MW CSP project.
According to the division of responsibilities among the consortium, Shouhang High-tech will be responsible for the EPC general contracting management of the CSP project，providing the heliostat field equipment and control system, receiver and heat collection system, thermal storage system, air cooling system and other main equipment, NWEPDI and SIDRI will be responsible for the overall survey and design of the solar tower plant, POWERCHINA SICHUAN is responsible for the construction work of project.
The 100MW CSP project is one part of 1100MW solar hybrid project of Three Gorges Energy company in Golmu, Qinghai province. The project has 1000MW solar PV and 100MW solar tower CSP project, which is located in the Utu Meiren Solar Power Generation Base in Golmu City, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province.The project is expected to connect to the grid by November 30, 2023.
