News from China Solar Thermal Alliance, the 1GW solar PV and CSP hybrid project of Qinghai Qingyu DC transmission project developed by China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) Co., Ltd. (CTGR) confirmed that the consortium of Powerchina Northwest Engineering Corporation Ltd (POWERCHINA NORTHWEST), Cosin Solar, and Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd (ENERGY CHINA) won the EPC bidding of 100MW solar tower CSP project. POWERCHINA and ENERGY CHINA are both listed as Fortune Global 500 company.
The China Three Gorges 1GW solar PV and CSP hybrid project of Qinghai Qingyu DC transmission project, located in the southern part of Wutumeiren Solar Power Park, Geermu City, Haixi Prefecture of Qinghai Province, will build 900MW solar PV and 100MW molten salt solar tower CSP project. The project is scheduled to meet the conditions of full capacity grid connection conditions before November 30, 2023.
According to the division of responsibility among the consortium, Cosin Solar will participate in the overall design and project management, and be responsible for the technical solutions of the solar filed and thermal collection system, equipment supply, as well as related commissioning and trial operation guidance services.
