On April 29, the Bayan Nur CSP Equipment Industrial Park in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region held the groundbreaking ceremony. The representatives from Huaneng Renewables and Royal Tech consortium attended the ceremony.

The Bayan Nur CSP Equipment Industrial Park is developed, constructed and managed by Huaneng Renewables Co., Ltd. and Royal Tech CSP Co., Ltd, which intends to create the largest and the most advanced CSP equipment manufacturing and technological innovation park with the most complete industrial chain.

The park covers an area of 466,200 m2 and has a total investment plan of 5 billion yuan. The park will rely on the successful construction and operation experience of the 100MW parabolic trough CSP demonstration plant in Wulate of Bayan Nur city of Inner Mongolia, and introduce the core components of solar concentration, heat collection, thermal storage and heat exchange industries. It will build the core components and equipments manufacturing base such as high-temperature vacuum tube receiver, mirror reflector and parabolic trough collector supports, and hydraulic drive tracking systems, so as to cultivate bases for operation and maintenance, scientific research, testing, and verification of CSP components.
After production, the park can meet the annual needs of installed capacity of 1GW CSP plants with annual output value of 12.1 billion yuan.
