SunCan, one of the corporate members is constructing its 10MW molten salt tower plant, which is located in Dunhuang city, Gansu province, China.
According to the EPC contractor, the construction of the tower has been completed and the installation of the receiver will start soon. The tower is about 110 meters high, and it will exceed 120 meters after the installation of the receiver is completed. A total of 1522 heliostats designed by SunCan itself will be installed, with a total aperture area of 180,000 square meters. Each heliostat is made of 35 reflectors. The thermal storage capacity is 15 hours, with annual operating hours exceeding 5000h.
The 10MW molten salt tower system is the first phase of an 110MW CSP tower system. Suncan, as Shouhang Resources Saving's subsidiary is this project's EPC contractor, key technology and solar field supplier.

As early as in May, 2014, SunCan’s 1MWt parabolic trough project in Tianjin, China succeeded in its first power generation. SunCan claimed that the localization rate of equipments and technologies of the system, which mainly included concentration system, steam generating system and power generating system, was 100%.
