In order to promote the technological exchange and cooperation on concentrated solar power (CSP), China National Solar Thermal Energy Alliance, Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Renewable Energy Society and Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering will organize the 4th China Solar Thermal Electricity Conference in Changzhou city, Jiangsu Province on Sep. 12-14, 2018. It is the most authoritative and influential annual conference of solar thermal power generation technology in China, with the theme as promoting the industrial development of solar thermal electricity by scientific and technological innovation.
Recently, Changying ZHAO,the Chair Professor, Executive Dean of China-UK Low Carbon College,and the Director of Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University has confirmed his presence to this event. He will make a keynote speech on "Nano/microscale thermal radiation and its application in the energy field".
Brief introduction of Prof. Changying ZHAO
Changying ZHAO, obtained his Ph.D from Cambridge University, then he worked at Brunel University and Warwick University for quite a few years before he moved to Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011. Currently Prof. Zhao is the Chair Professor, Executive Dean of China-UK Low Carbon College,and the Director of Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research mainly covers heat transfer in porous media, nano/microscale thermal radiation, and thermal energy storage. Prof. Zhao is the Principal Investigator for quite a few major research h projects including the key project of Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), National Key Basic Research Programme (973), and UK EPSRC. He has published over 200 papers, and the published papers are SCI cited about 4000 times. One paper was awarded the “China Top 100 most influential international papers” and a few papers were awarded the “highly cited paper award” by different Journals. He was elected as the Chair Professor of the “National 1000 Talents Program” by China central government in 2012 and the Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier in 2014, 2015，2016and 2017. Prof. Zhao is the Executive Board Member of Asia Union of Thermal Science and Engineering (AUTSE) and also serves as the editorial board member for quite a few international journals.
